Winter Party
Usually a Saturday in February, this event has recently been held at various venues around Wautwaotsa. This a signature event for the neighborhood.
RSVP Required, Cost to attend
Easter Egg Hunt
Usually held on the Saturday of the weekend before Easter. This is a great event for kids to see the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs.
No RSVP Required; Cost: Free
Neighborhood Rummage Sale
Usually on a Friday and Saturday in June, the neighborhood association helps increase traffic to neighbors sales by putting up signage and printing a map with the sale locations in the neighborhood.
RSVP Required to be on the map, Cost: ~$3
Summer Pool Party
Usually in June, this event is held at the Hoyt Park Pool and is another signature neighborhood event. We reserve the entire pool just for Damon Woods members.
RSVP Required, Cost: ~$20 per family
Outdoor Movie Night
Usually in late summer or early fall, this event is held in the yard of a neighbor. Enjoy watching a movie outdoors while snacking on popcorn.
No RSVP Required, Cost: Free
Cribbage Tournament
Usually in fall, this event occurs before the NAC tournament.
RSVP Required, Cost: Free
Chili Cook-off
Usually on a Saturday in early October, this event is held on rotating streets in the neighborhood. Submit your best chili or just enjoy trying them all. There is plenty of fun for all ages.
No RSVP required, Cost: Free, bring a chili contest submission or a dessert or appetizer to share
Halloween Party
Trick or Treat is always held from 6-8pm on October 31. The neighborhood will also host a Halloween party for kids and parents, usually the weekend before Halloween.
No RSVP Required, Cost: Free
Packer Party
Usually in October or November, neighbors gather at a local bar to watch the Packer game. Members can register and receive a $15 gift card to the bar for food and drinks.
RSVP Required, Cost: ~$5
Cookie Exchange & Visit with Santa
Usually the 1st Saturday in December. Prior to exchanging cookies, enjoy tasting the baked treats, listening to music and seeing Santa.
No RSVP required for music and Santa; RSVP required for the cookie exchange, Cost: Free
TGIF Parties
Held once on month on a selected Friday almost every month of the year. These parties are held in the homes of host neighbors.
No RSVP required, Cost: Free; bring an appetizer and drink to share
